Over the years, those who have gone parasailing have been as young as 4 and as “young” as 99. Participants 18 and under must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. The minimum combined weight is 130-165 lbs, and the maximum combined weight is about 450-550 lbs. Weight requirements change daily due to wind conditions and are subject to the Captain’s approval.
Parasailing flights are about 10 minutes up in the air. The experience is part parasailing and part boat ride. You should plan on being out on the water for about an hour from when you leave our dock at the Delta Hotel until we return to the dock. Each parasail boat holds up to 10 passengers who take turns parasailing two or three at a time. Please ensure you arrive at the kiosk 30 minutes before your scheduled flight.
Yes! We do allow viewers on board. Right before the boat departs, if there is room on the boat, we will welcome you on the boat as an viewer. The cost is $30. If you change your mind, while on the boat and decide to fly, the $30 charge is then applied to the cost of parasailing. Unfortunately we can't guarantee or reserve viewer seats.
Yes! Our Captains hold a Transport Canada Small Vessel Operator Proficiency License and both Captain and Crew are specifically trained in all aspects of parasailing, boat handling and flight procedures. We are also current members of the WSIA (Watersports Industry Association), which requires our operation to adhere to strict operating guidelines to protect the safety of our customers.
Yes, because of parasailing’s popularity and the limited space, we encourage advance bookings. There have been times when guests have shown up without an advance booking only to have to wait for a couple of hours until there was a space open for them. We also take phone bookings. HOWEVER, if there is room on the boat, walk-up guests are always welcome.
We recommend at least 2-5 days in advance depending on the season. For large groups of 10 or more, please call 2-3 weeks in advance. If you are unsure of your vacation schedule, at least try to make a booking early in the morning before all the boats fill up for the day! And don't leave parasailing for the last day of your vacation, as sometimes the weather may not allow you to reschedule.
A little sprinkle and we stay out, but strong or gusty winds make parasailing unsafe. The Captain decides if we are going on stand-by or if we close down for the day. If you weren’t able to fly then you can either be rescheduled for another time/day or receive a full refund. If you are unsure about the weather conditions, please give us a call the day of your flight and we can let you know what our weather status is. That said, weather conditions may change abruptly and we may need to suspend operations on short notice if the weather takes a turn – safety always comes first.
Any cancellations done 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a full refund. All cancellations requested within 48 hours of the booking are unfortunately non-refundable. All cancellations due to poor weather conditions will be rescheduled or receive a full refund. Rebooking is limited and fees may apply.
